This website aims to showcase the work of
Stella Rebecca Crofts
(1898–1964).
A ceramic
sculptor principally of animals and birds, she was popular in the inter-war
period, but is now little known.
There appears to be no
comprehensive record of Stella Crofts' output generally available. One of
the aims of this website is to remedy this.
The Victoria and Albert
Museum, Manchester Art Gallery, Nottingham Museum, Hanley Potteries Museum, Aberystwyth Ceramics Collection, Bristol and Llandudno museums and Civiche
Raccolte d'Arte, Milan all hold examples of Stella’s work.
